Bitrate determines the quality of your audio. A higher bitrate will sound better but take up more space. A lower bitrate will sound will not sound as good but be small in size. Normally audio is set a 128 bitrate but you may change it if you wish. *Your speakers also determine the sound quality of your audio. *The sound quality of the audio in the flash file determines the sound quality too.
Channels determine where the audio comes from. A mono channel will play the same sound through all of your speakers. A stereo channel will play two different sounds in dual speakers if the original audio is set to stereo. Stereo channels take up more space than mono.
